Our humble beginning
A practice built on trust in Germantown.
Sky Medical has been serving the Germantown community for over 50 years, offering medical and rehabilitation services from our home on Chew Avenue in the heart of Philadelphia.
Founded by renowned Dr. William M. King, D.O. as GeMedco Family Medicine, the practice was later acquired by Dr. Onyema O. Anakwe, D.O., Ph.D., who worked alongside Dr. King for over a decade after Dr. king's retirement. Dr. Anakwe went on to serve Germantown community for more than 25 years.
In the summer of 2025, Dr. Paul Lewis Ezeukwu, MSPT, DPT acquired the practice from Dr. Anakwe, after his retirement assisted by Dr. Virginia Dennis, DNP, FNP-C. Together they continue a legacy of compassionate care for patients across Philadelphia — including those recovering from motor vehicle accidents, workplace injuries, slip and fall incidents, and chronic conditions.

Where is Sky Medical and Rehabilitation located?
We are at 5801 Chew Avenue in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, PA, serving patients from Germantown, Mount Airy, East Falls, Nicetown and across greater Philadelphia.
Do you treat injuries from motor vehicle accidents?
Yes. We provide full evaluation, documentation and physical therapy for auto accident injuries, including whiplash, neck and back pain, and soft tissue injuries. Call 215-844-3500 to be seen quickly after a crash.
Do you accept workers' compensation cases?
Yes. We handle workers' compensation assessments, ongoing rehabilitation and return-to-work planning, and coordinate documentation with employers and insurers.
What is physical therapy like at your Philadelphia clinic?
Each patient begins with a one-on-one evaluation with Dr. Paul Lewis Ezeukwu, MSPT, DPT. Treatment plans combine hands-on manual therapy, therapeutic exercise in our rehabilitation gym, and home programs designed for a speedy, lasting recovery.
What is PRP therapy and who is a candidate?
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy uses a concentrate of your own blood platelets to accelerate healing in tendons, ligaments and joints. It is often used for chronic joint pain that has not responded to conservative care.
Do you offer stem cell therapy for joint pain?
Yes. We offer regenerative stem cell treatment for tissue and joint conditions as part of a broader rehabilitation plan. A provider evaluation determines whether it is appropriate for you.
